Infestation & Biohazard Policy

1. Overview

Muvr Technologies, Inc. (“Muvr”) is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and professionalism of all service providers and customers by enforcing strict guidelines regarding infestations and biohazardous conditions.

This Infestation & Biohazard Policy establishes:

  • Conditions under which Muvr service providers may refuse or terminate a job.
  • Types of infestations and biohazards that are strictly prohibited.
  • Customer responsibilities in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Consequences for failing to disclose hazardous conditions.

By using Muvr, customers and service providers agree to comply with this policy and acknowledge that violations may result in job refusals, cancellation fees, account suspensions, or legal action.

2. Definition of Infestations & Biohazards

Infestations and biohazards refer to any condition that poses a health, safety, or environmental risk due to pests, hazardous substances, or extreme unsanitary conditions.

2.1. Prohibited Infestations

Muvr service providers will not handle or transport items from locations with:

  • Active pest infestations, including:

     

    • Bed bugs, fleas, cockroaches, termites, mites.
    • Rodents (mice, rats, or other vermin).
    • Wood-boring insects that may damage furniture or property.
  • Mold or mildew contamination, including:

     

    • Heavily water-damaged items with visible mold growth.
    • Strong mildew odors indicating excessive moisture exposure.
  • Biohazardous materials, including:

     

    • Human or animal waste, bodily fluids, or decomposing materials.
    • Medical waste, used syringes, or biological contaminants.
    • Rotting food, maggots, or excessive garbage accumulation.
    • Dead animals, carcasses, or remains.

Service providers have the right to refuse service if they suspect any infestation or biohazardous condition.

3. Service Provider Right to Refuse Jobs Due to Health Hazards

3.1. When Can a Job Be Refused?

Service providers may refuse or terminate a job at any time if they determine that:

  • The presence of pests, biohazards, or unsanitary conditions poses a risk to health, safety, or their personal belongings.
  • Furniture, belongings, or the property itself show visible signs of infestation or contamination.
  • The property presents extreme hoarding conditions or filth that makes safe handling impossible.

3.2. No Penalty for Job Refusal Due to Safety Concerns

If a provider refuses or terminates a job due to an infestation or biohazard, they will:

  • Not be penalized for canceling the job.
  • Submit a report to Muvr for further investigation.
  • Not be required to provide photo evidence if the situation poses an immediate risk.

If a customer fails to disclose a hazardous condition in advance, cancellation fees may apply.

4. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment before booking a job.

4.1. Pre-Move Cleaning Requirements

  • Inspect and clean items before the scheduled service.
  • Disclose any past or present infestations or recent pest control treatments.
  • Do not request service if the property is undergoing fumigation or pest treatment.
  • Secure or dispose of contaminated materials properly before requesting junk removal.

4.2. Failure to Disclose Infestations or Biohazards

If a customer fails to disclose an active infestation or hazardous condition, Muvr may:

  • Cancel the job without a refund.
  • Charge additional fees for wasted time and equipment decontamination.
  • Suspend or permanently ban the customer from the platform.

Customers who repeatedly fail to disclose hazardous conditions may be prohibited from using Muvr’s services.

5. Consequences for Infestation-Related Damages

Muvr is not responsible for damages related to infestations, mold exposure, or biohazards.

6. Decontamination & Additional Fees

If a service provider’s vehicle, tools, or equipment require cleaning due to a customer’s failure to disclose an infestation or biohazard:

  • A decontamination fee of $150-$500 may be charged, depending on the severity of contamination.
  • Customers may also be permanently banned from using Muvr’s platform for repeated violations.

7. Reporting Infestation & Biohazard Violations

Muvr encourages service providers and customers to report any unsafe conditions immediately.

Reports can be submitted through:

  • The Muvr App (Report an Issue).
  • Muvr Customer Support (via website or email).
  • Local Health Authorities (for suspected public health violations).

Muvr will investigate all reports and take appropriate action, including:

  • Account suspensions for violators.
  • Fines and decontamination fees for customers who fail to disclose hazardous conditions.
  • Permanent bans for repeated violations.
  • Cooperation with local authorities if a serious public health hazard is identified.

8. Additional Provisions

  • Policy Updates – Muvr reserves the right to modify this policy at any time.
  • No Waiver – Failure to enforce any part of this policy does not waive Muvr’s rights.
  • Governing Law – This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware.

By using Muvr, customers and service providers acknowledge and agree to this Infestation & Biohazard Policy.
