Delivery Restricted Items Policy
Last Updated: March 15, 2025
This Delivery Restricted Items Policy is published by Muvr Technologies, Inc. and its affiliates (“Muvr,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and applies to delivery and courier-type services arranged through our websites, mobile applications, and related services (the “Platform”) (collectively, “Delivery Services”).
This policy sets delivery-specific restrictions and rules for items that may not be transported or that require special handling, disclosure, packaging, or service level selection. It supplements (and does not replace) our global Restricted and Prohibited Items Policy, Firearms and Weapons Policy, High-Value & Specialty Item Transport Policy, Infestation and Biohazard Policy, and Deliveries Service Policy. Where this policy is stricter, it controls for Delivery Services.
Laws vary by jurisdiction. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws. Where local law is stricter than this policy, local law controls.
1) Core rules
- You may not use Delivery Services to transport Prohibited Items.
- Restricted Items may be refused at any time if legality, safety, or packaging cannot be confirmed.
- You must accurately disclose item type and special handling needs.
- Providers may refuse, pause, or stop service if Restricted or Prohibited Items are present or suspected.
- If service is refused due to sender/recipient-controlled conditions, fees may apply under Fee and Pricing Policy and No Show/Inaccessible policies.
2) Prohibited items for Delivery Services (not allowed)
The following items are prohibited for Delivery Services unless explicitly authorized in writing by Muvr for a specific booking (rare) and lawful:
A) Weapons and related items
- firearms and regulated firearm parts
- ammunition, magazines (loaded or unloaded), primers, powder
- explosives, fireworks, detonators
- weapon parts or devices prohibited by law
B) Illegal and controlled substances

- any item used to facilitate illegal activity
C) Hazardous materials and regulated waste
- fuels (gasoline, diesel, kerosene), fuel containers with fuel
- propane tanks with contents
- corrosives, acids, solvents, pesticides, unknown chemicals
- industrial chemicals and laboratory materials
- radioactive materials
- asbestos-containing materials and regulated construction waste where prohibited
- medical waste, biohazard bags, biological specimens
- used needles, sharps, syringes
- items contaminated with blood or bodily fluids
- hazardous mold-contaminated materials requiring regulated remediation
D) Stolen goods and contraband
- stolen property
- counterfeit goods or contraband
E) Live animals and human remains
- live animals
- animal remains requiring regulated handling
- human remains or body parts
3) High-value and sensitive items (not recommended; often excluded)
Delivery Services are not intended for high-value and sensitive items. These are generally not eligible for protection under damage/liability policies and may be refused, including:
- cash, bearer instruments, large currency amounts
- jewelry, precious metals, gemstones
- rare collectibles and memorabilia
- fine art, antiques, heirlooms
- prescription medications and controlled medications
- passports, birth certificates, and sensitive identity documents (as cargo)
Senders should keep these items in personal possession or use specialized insured carriers.
4) Restricted items (may be allowed only under conditions)
The following may be allowed only if lawful, disclosed, safely packaged, and accepted by the Provider and the Platform:
A) Batteries and electronics
- lithium batteries, power banks, and devices containing lithium batteries
Must be safely packaged to prevent short-circuit, damage, or fire risk.
B) Alcohol and age-restricted items
Delivery of alcohol, tobacco, nicotine products, or age-restricted goods may be prohibited or restricted depending on jurisdiction and licensing. If offered, additional verification and compliance steps may be required.
C) Perishable food and temperature-sensitive goods
Perishables may be restricted due to spoilage risk. Temperature control is not guaranteed unless explicitly offered.
D) Fragile items
Glass, ceramics, and other fragile items may be allowed only if properly packaged. Providers may refuse improperly packed fragile items.
E) Large/heavy items
Large and heavy items may require a different service level and more Providers. Courier-style one-provider deliveries may not be suitable.
5) Packaging and labeling requirements (sender responsibility)
Unless packing is explicitly included, the sender must:
- securely seal packages
- prevent leaks, spills, and odor release
- label fragile or “this side up” items where relevant
- ensure packaging can withstand normal transport conditions
- ensure items can be lifted safely without risk
Providers may refuse items that are improperly packaged or that create safety risk.
6) Inspection and refusal rights
Providers may:
- refuse pickup of prohibited items
- refuse restricted items if packaging, legality, or safety cannot be confirmed
- stop service if prohibited items are discovered mid-service
- contact Support and/or authorities where required or appropriate
Providers are not required to open sealed packages, and sealed-package contents remain sender responsibility.
7) Failed delivery and enforcement outcomes
If a delivery fails or is refused due to prohibited/restricted items, inaccurate disclosure, or unsafe packaging:
- the booking may be canceled or closed out
- return handling may apply
- fees may apply consistent with Fee and Pricing Policy and Failed Delivery policies
- accounts may be restricted for repeated violations
8) Reporting and disputes
Report issues through Support and include:
- booking ID
- description of the item and why it is restricted/prohibited
- photos where safe and lawful
False reporting is prohibited.
9) Policy changes
We may update this policy at any time. Updates will be reflected by the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
