Hauler Addendum

Hauler Addendum

Last Updated: March 15, 2025 This Hauler Addendum is published by Muvr Technologies, Inc. and its affiliates (“Muvr,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This addendum applies to Providers who perform hauling and junk removal services (“Haulers”) through our websites, mobile applications, and related services (the “Platform”). It supplements and is incorporated into the Provider Platform Agreement (if published) and all Provider policies. If there is a conflict between this Hauler Addendum and another Provider policy, the stricter safety/compliance standard applies, and any controlling written agreement or applicable law governs where required.

1) Scope of hauling and junk removal services

Hauling and junk removal services may include, depending on what is booked:
  • lifting, carrying, loading, and hauling of unwanted items (“Junk”)
  • removal from designated areas (curbside/doorstep/room-of-choice where offered)
  • transport to lawful disposal, recycling, donation, or processing facilities
  • basic sweeping of the immediate removal area only if explicitly included (not a deep clean)
  • limited disassembly only if explicitly included and safe to perform
Haulers must perform only what is shown in booking details and must not perform prohibited services.

2) Core standards: lawful disposal and safety first

Haulers must:
  • dispose of items only through lawful channels and permitted facilities
  • comply with all local disposal, environmental, and transportation laws
  • secure loads to prevent debris, spills, or roadway hazards
  • use tarps/netting/containment as required by law and necessary for safe hauling
  • stop work when hazardous conditions exist
Haulers must not engage in illegal dumping or unlawful disposal under any circumstances.

3) Prohibited and restricted items (hauling)

Haulers must strictly follow Restricted and Prohibited Items Policy and Infestation and Biohazard Policy. Haulers must not accept, handle, or transport:
  • firearms, ammunition, explosives
  • illegal drugs or controlled substances
  • fuels, propane tanks with contents, unknown chemicals
  • hazardous waste, asbestos-containing materials where regulated, industrial chemicals
  • biohazards, medical waste, sharps/needles, bodily fluids, feces/urine-soaked items
  • items contaminated by infestation when unsafe to handle
  • any item prohibited by law or facility rules
If prohibited items are present:
  • initiate a Safety Stop
  • do not handle the items
  • notify the customer and Support when safe
  • document safely and lawfully

4) Load containment, securement, and debris prevention (required)

Haulers must:
  • balance loads to prevent shifting and tipping
  • use straps/tie-downs and appropriate securement for bulky items
  • use tarps or netting for open-bed vehicles (pickup trucks, dump trucks) when required by law or needed to prevent debris
  • prevent sharp debris from puncturing containment or creating hazards
  • ensure tailgates and doors are secured before travel
  • avoid exceeding payload, axle, or legal weight limits
Improper securement that results in debris release, citations, accidents, or damage is a serious violation.

5) Facility rules, receipts, and proof of disposal

Haulers must comply with disposal facility rules, including:
  • required sorting (recycling vs landfill) where applicable
  • fees and category restrictions (mattresses, tires, appliances, e-waste, paint, batteries)
  • hours, access protocols, and safety procedures
Where the Platform requires proof:
  • Haulers must capture disposal receipts, weight tickets, or facility documentation where available and lawful.
  • Haulers must not falsify disposal proof.

6) On-site safety and worksite controls

Haulers must follow:
  • Worksite Safety Stop Policy
  • Safety Standards and PPE Policy
  • Safe Lifting and Moving Policy
  • Large Item and Heavy Lifting Policy (Provider Standard)
Key requirements:
  • do not perform unsafe lifts
  • do not drag items in ways that damage property or create injury risk
  • maintain clear pathways and avoid blocking exits
  • use spotters on stairs/ramps and in tight spaces
  • secure pets and manage bystander safety risk by pausing when needed

7) Curbside vs. in-home removal and access mismatches

Hauling jobs often depend on access and staging:
  • If a job is booked as curbside, Haulers are not required to enter buildings or navigate interior paths.
  • If a job is booked for in-home removal, Haulers must still refuse unsafe paths, stairs mismatches, or blocked access.
If the actual access conditions are materially different than booked (stairs/long carry/blocked paths), Haulers must:
  • pause and communicate,
  • require scope update or reschedule,
  • document the mismatch,
  • and follow close-out procedures if the job cannot proceed safely.

8) Infestation, biohazards, and contamination prevention

Haulers must:
  • stop work when infestation or contamination is observed or suspected
  • avoid contaminating their vehicle/equipment
  • follow contamination prevention practices where applicable (containment, PPE)
  • report immediately under Incident Reporting Policy when exposure occurs
Haulers must never load or transport known biohazard material.

9) Customer disputes, professionalism, and integrity

Haulers must:
  • communicate professionally and respectfully
  • avoid arguing, threats, retaliation, or coercion
  • avoid off-platform payments or side deals
  • route disputes to Support rather than “handling it privately”
If conflict escalates, Haulers must initiate a safety stop and contact Support.

10) Incident reporting and investigations

Haulers must:
  • report incidents promptly (injury, near-miss, property damage, debris release, hazardous exposure)
  • preserve evidence (photos, receipts, facility documentation)
  • cooperate with investigations
  • provide truthful statements and documentation
False reporting or falsified proof is a serious violation.

11) Compliance and legal requirements

Haulers are responsible for:
  • compliance with local hauling and disposal laws
  • maintaining required licensing, permits, and insurance
  • vehicle compliance (including dump truck or trailer rules)
  • lawful disposal and environmental compliance
Haulers must not represent themselves as Muvr employees.

12) Enforcement

Violations of this addendum or related policies may result in:
  • required retraining
  • job-type restrictions (disposal categories, weight limits, vehicle restrictions)
  • payout holds or deductions where permitted
  • suspension or permanent deactivation
Severe violations (illegal dumping, prohibited items handling, falsified disposal proof, threats/violence, fraud) may result in immediate deactivation and referral to authorities where appropriate.

13) Changes to this addendum

We may update this addendum at any time. Updates will be reflected by the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of Provider features after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised addendum to the extent permitted by law.
